A plea to Panasonic....Please read and add your name if you agree.

I am sooooo stealing this...

I can get shallow DoF if I want it, but don't have to fight it;
I was fighting some shallow DoF today. I've not yet invested in m43, but as smaller sensors increase in dynamic range and sensitivity, I definitely want them around as image making tools. Majority of my shooting is larger sensor sizes, but they don't work for everything. GH4 shows some great potential. I like what the D4 did with crop modes to, but GH4 may have the edge. I am also considering bmpcc. But an AF200 could do it.

You bet your sweet bippy, I want one. I'm looking to upgrade 2 AC 160a's for a new 270. My AF100a is a great tool, but I want the upgrades that the 270 has in my AF100 body or the 270 body with an m43 lens mount so I can use my GH3 lens. I have been a faithful support for Panny, so pay back time is here....I want a AF200!!!!

Take the viewfinder/handle off the top, add an electronic viewfinder on an Israeli arm and I'm in, never liked the eyecup in the back like that, should be on the side.

Add my name to this growing list! I will say this tho', I come from a design/product development background and it's more likely that Panasonic would put the the GH4's sensor into an AF-100 body. There would be little or no 'tooling' changes. The PX270 body and chassis would need a lot of modification. They probably don't sell enough units to cover extensive tooling costs. And from what I've read lately, Panasonic is not exactly flush with cash. But hey, I would take either camera! The GH4 is compelling, but I really want a proper video camera. Hope all this isn't falling on deaf ears. Maybe we should type our posts in ALL CAPS!!!

Yes, +1 to about everything everyone else said. Doesn't have to be a new design, just take the sensor/electronics from the GH4 and put it in the form factor of the AF100 (or PX270 if you prefer). Been a fan of Panasonic for many of reasons since DVX100. (DVX100B, HVX200, AF100, GH3). Maybe Panasonic could have a successful KickStarter campaign? :)

I've been very happy with my AF100. But eventually I'll need higher resolution, greater dynamic range, and 10 bit 4:2:2. An AF200 that provides that, and keeps the internal ND filters, waveform monitor, and peaking, while allowing me to continue using my current MFT lenses, would be wonderful! :love4: If under $8K, YES I would buy it.

I'd be in for one as well. Planning to upgrade this year and courting a C100, but I'd definitely rather stay with m4/3 (and Panny) if possible. So, yes, I would buy this or a similar camera.

What the Japanese guys has in minds ? For God's sake! DO AF200 !!!! It's all everybody in the world needs. This is gonna be a super success like HVX200 and DVX100.
このパナソニックのカメラの操作を行ってください。

I jumped ship, bought a C100, which I really like, and a Pocket Camera to use my MFT lenses, hoping that something like an AF200 would materialize... I already have too many cameras, but I miss the AF100 and am in - if they're listening...

Lol, by my count if they did....they'd have $275,593 in pre orders in just a few days. That's where our unofficial count is right now.
Keep em coming in!

I'd have one of these straight away - but let's be honest with each other, Panny isn't listening. We've been on this topic for 2 years at least and I've never been more sure that we're being totally ignored. The only way to make Panny listen now is to buy something else, sadly.
