A couple of random questions!

Hi there,
I am looking at getting an HVX (it depends on if I get the next job I have applied for) and just had a couple of questions regarding the camera.

1) With the V3 of the FS-100 does this mean that you could record ~200mins of 720/24pn? And after bringing it into the raid with Final Cut would it still only use 100GB per 200mins?

2) Is there anyway of putting an edited final version of the film back onto the Firestore and then connect that to the camera and use the camera as the deck to output through component or HDMI to a HDTV? Cause that would be really handy!

3) I would use Final Cut to bring it all in and have a look at it and do a bit of a rough cut however my favourite editor would prefer to use Avid so I would take my raid box into him. Will he be able to use my footage and also is there anyway he could use my rough cut points or should I just write down timecodes and do it that way?

Thanks for any help in advance!

1- Yes, and v.3 will record that native footage in QuickTime format so you don't have to do the conversion in FCP.

2- No.

3- You'd give your Avid buddy an EDL. I'm not Avid savay these days, not sure what the work flow would be. It think Automatic Duck has an app that does this for FCP to Avid stuff.

I would use Automatic Duck to export the timeline to Avid OMF. That's really the cleanest way.
