A Call in the Rainforest - preview

[indiawilds]

Dear All,

I am sharing a preview of my film "A Call in the Rainforest". Its actually the opening one minute sequence of the film. The film is 18 and half minutes long and entirely shot with Canon EOS 1D Mark IV at 1080p at 24fps.

You can check it here: http://www.indiawilds.com/diary/inspiration-for-the-film-a-call-in-the-rainforest/

The call is that of the Lion-tailed Macaque (Macaca silenus).

Look forward to your comments.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Why not HD?

I am actually want to host my file in my server and am looking for a plugin that I can use in wordpress to show my film. Unfortunately, I am unable to find it. So I uploaded the Mpeg4 file in vimeo and linked there. Unfortunately Vimeo crunched the 58mb file to 5 mb.

It is also a different matter that with the slow net speeds that we have in most of the cities in India, not many people will be able to download and watch a HD/Full HD file.

Why not HD?

Some of the scenes were shot in very low light. For eg. at 0.34 the pair of jostling gaurs (Bos gaurus) were filmed in ISO 12800 at f2.8 aperture in my Canon 400mm f2.8 L IS USM lens.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

I like it. One suggestion would be to keep the first shot of the road and edit something else in with the second shot of the road. They are back to back and seems to be a little redundant which gives off the impression that it is all you have shot. Put something amazing in its place and I would find myself more drawn to it. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.
