Very warm, nice. I watched it on youtube when you put it on, looks nice in HD.
Nice job tomatoes.

Thanks man:)
Hahaha.. tomatoes..

That's funny:P because my name is Tomas.. and in Norway.. tomatoe, is tomat..
So in english my nickname; "tommetass" sounds like tomatoes..
and in norwegian my real name sounds like tomatoe.. (or at least when you write it down)

:P

Wow really lovely...love the warm colors...you used sgpro?

Thanks:beer:
Yeah this is SGpro magic.. hehe, pretty much said so in the title though:Drogar-Evil(DBG):

ooops..was taken over by the video i guess..nice job man, makes me feel like robbing a bank then order a 35mm

A Beautiful Day,
Nice warm light,
Just another day in Norway,
Isn't that right? :^)

Gorgeous!
How much is the Golden Hour light and how much is MB?

Love the low skateboard shot and the next to last shot with the focus pull from the buildings to the feet to the bottle to the pavment.

Maybe you should have a tomato avatar??? ;^)

Nice job!

Hehe, that's right.. "another day in Norway"!

Golden hour light = priceless (no one could afford it anyway so nature hands it out for free)
MB = 399 USD :crybaby:

I should really.. yeah.. maybe I will change it..
seriously..

*googling tomatoes*

EDIT:
Done..

Man thats a special image right there. To me, thats sweeter than HD. Its either so crisp that the image looks somewhat "fake" and maybe too sureal and IMO thats what HD offers, but the DVX in your hands is somethin else. Thats one of the best film look images from an SD camera that i've seen.

Loved it Tomas!

Thank you Shaun!
Yeah I agree with you on that HD can sometimes be fake.. but I have to say that the Lumix GH1 is really something else.. I tried pushing the colors on a GH1 clip I found on vimeo and it looked just awesome!

did you push it up to HD quality again?

Yeah:P

Looks excellent! What did you do to upconvert to HD?

Also, what lens did you use?

Thanks for posting!

Thank you!

I export from adobe premiere as .avi with no compression.

Adjust the settings to 1050x576 pixels (PAL) and square pixels (very important)..

And then I use quicktime pro and export the avi file as HD (1280x720) with the h.264 codec.

You can also export from adobe straight to HD, but I tried that and it didn't make the quality any better.. +it took a lot more time to render and also took a lot more space.

Oh and I used the Canon FD 35mm f/2.0 lens.

...hey, since when did you start using Canon FD lenses?
I thought you were always using Nikon lenses.
what made you change?

Oh no I've always used Canon FD lenses..

I have a 50mm nikon as well though :)

But I'm leaning more and more towards canon lenses...

Just bought two new lenses for the FD mount today! :Drogar-Evil(DBG):

..oh really, I always thought you were using Nikon lenses for some reason...don't know why.
well how do like the FD lenses?

Well.. it might be because I only have two lenses (for now).
The Canon FD 35mm f/2.0
and the Nikon Nikkor-H 50mm f/2.0

Both are exeptionally sharp lenses actually :Drogar-Dum(DBG):

(and both were lucky purchases.. I didn't know squat about lenses when I bought them that is...)

But yeah, the Canon FD 35mm is a very nice lens.. I'm extremely pleased with it!

Now I just bought the: Tamron 80-210 f/3.8-4
and the: Vivitar 28mm f/2.8

Not super lenses.. but I mean.. they were dirt cheap..
I paid 100 USD for them +3 macro rings (I could have paid less, but I just said "no.. I'll pay that at least!")
And both lenses came with UV filters.. lol
I almost felt bad when I bought them..

so you must have two mounts then, that must be really invonvinient...

well I've used Nikon and Canon before and I'll say I hate how the FD lenses mount to the lens mount. it's kinda tricky...
for performance wise, I'm actually thinking about doing a test soon. so I'll give you my opinion on that later!
will post up stills once I'm done maybe!

Tom Tomato ;^)
I'm curious how the 80-210 zoom will perform, especially on the telephoto end.
Will you be using it soon?
Should we expect a Tamron film soon?
Chuck

Yeah I'm very curious as well!

I just read that there are more versions of that exact lens and I do not know which on I'm getting:crybaby:

But I mean.. for the price I paid.. It's so worth it anyway!:Drogar-Love(DBG):

But if it's the correct version then it should be a good lens.

I will at least check out the macro functions soon!
I'm really looking forward to it!
