7D used in difficult production environment

I just wrapped a tourism video production shoot on a tropical island called Bantayan.

First off, the camera performed as expected. I was prepared for the worst many thanks to users feedback in this forum.

The situation is, semi run and gun due to limited time and weather. 3 shooting days. Hot and humid tropical weather and sudden downpours.

Some of my notes;

The camera allowed me to finish the job since i can stretch my shooting time till its dark.

The camera gave great colors under challenging low light conditions.

The form factor allowed us to travel lightly and doing jib shots is easier due to lighter counterweight requirement.

The form factor allowed us to use affordable underwater housing for underwater shots. -BUT, using live view and video in an airtight housing gives you an overheat signal really fast. I had to cool down, by shutting off, count to 20 and switch on again. No big deal.

Dolly and plywood skater shots are now smoother due to light weight.

Here's some grabs.

Difficult. I used manual focus. the casing allowed me to twist the focus barrel. I couldnt fiddle much due to overheating.
