7D has manual control 1080p 24/25/30p and 720p 50/60p

What the pixel geeks fail to understand is the MKII is 2 stops slower shooting equivalent "cine DOF" so if they are correct about the sensitivity that would make the 7D 1 stop faster shooting at f/2.8 instead of f/5.6 on the MKII.

If you need to match the DOF and the crop factor is 1.5x, the full frame needs a relative aperture 1.5x larger which is a light gathering disadvantage of 1.5x1.5=2.25x on the aperture. It practically cancels out with the difference in pixel area in these cameras. So you can have the same low light and DOF OR better low light if you don't care about the shallower DOF.

But I would expect the 5d II to be a little better in noise performance even if the pixel size was the same. It's a recently introduced model with a higher price tag. It would make sense.
