Shooting Starts On My Low/No Budget Feature

I posted mention of this in the JVC Camera forum, but then figured it would probably have wider interest, even if it wasn't being shot with the DVX/HVX.

Saturday was the first day of shooting on my no/low budget feature, "Dark Souls". It's a supernatural thriller geared towards being shootable on next to nothing.

It's being shot in HDV, using the JVC HD101E. I was pretty happy with the first day's results.

You can see some frame grabs and behind the scenes stills here:

For those who are interested, I've put up the first couple of entries in my Director's Diaries. They're kind of long and rambling at the moment. I'd appreciate any input about what you guys would specifically like to hear about:

thanks for sharing.

Hey Pat,

I really enjoyed the stills and the diary. I actually, for the first time in a long while, read every word of a post.

The thing that stuck out most to me was marking up the script. That's a very good tip for the un-initiated . I think it's easy to overlook, but it's saved my ass more than once. :)

I wish you the best and look forward to more updates.

Cheers,

Jason
