720/24 or 1080/24?

Just got the HMC150P. Was a DVX user ever since it came out.
I was wondering what the consensus are, in terms of preference all around; from quality, to editing, to final output from all you fortunate owners of this cam.
With 720/24 or 1080/24, what 's the best setting for FCP 6.06?
Thanks in advance.

If your final output will be in SD the difference is minimal .
Ive been shooting 1080 24p alot lately, and forgetting that 720p even exists on this camera.
If you can edit 1080 24p go for it.

I have seen a few folks here mention that the 720P is often very hard to distinguish from the 1080.
Quality will always be the 1080.
Editing on a more average system will be 720.
Whip out that credit card and goose up your system...yes? No? Maybe?

well lets just say 1080p is this cams G spot , har har .. ok lame..
but 1080p just looks tons and tons better for me atleast.

I agree and not to mention if you are transcoding you still have the option to transcode it to 720 if needed. I feel its win win shooting 1080.

I haven't captured anything yet on 720/24 but I also heard that it's the cam's sweet spot.
However, what I've seen so far with 1080/24 is very sweet!!!
Will shoot at 720/24 for curiosity's sake!

Anyone using FCP 6, please post the best capture settings for this cam.
Thanks for all the replies!

Maybe you should start a new thread for a question about fCP 6 workfolow.

You'll see if you get answers about it here or not.

I use 720 because everthing I do is for the Web. But I think it looks better than 1080...its deff...the sweet spot.
