$59 battery compatible with the AF100?!!

EX1 shoots both to SxS or SDHC with an adapter. JVC HM series (both 100 and 700) shoot XDCAM EX directly to SDHC (class 6 or 10). I am not sure if AF100 does or does not have this function, but if it doesn't not, it would not be a usable camera.

The newer JVC camera shoots on SD cards as well. I think going forward, SD and CF are going to be the major flash formats.

I think the Nanoflash uses a different voltage than the Swift S-8BG6 right? I checked the nanoflash's voltage out and the battery and they don't look compatible. I know my microbeam camera light has a different voltage.

Maybe someone from Convergent Design can chime in on this, but my understanding is the Nanoflash was made to except many different voltages.

NF will have no problem using the voltage.

How does yours work? Thinking of getting them too!
 
I'd much rather use V-mount batteries if I was going to run my monitor and maybe an onboard light. Just D-Tap adapter to the AF's AC cable. So on and so forth for all the other accessories you may want. This would go along ways when starting to use lens motors as well for follow focus and of course your wireless HD transmitter.

Now where can I get the D-tap adapter for the AF100?

This is true for some instances, but the fact is you'll need to buy more batteries for the AF100 than the one it comes with. You might as well buy the Swit ones so you have another option. I know I will. As for D-Taps I know there are a few makers of them I've seen posted here. I'll see if I can find them and edit this post once I do.

Thanks for that link. I took a look at the info directly on the Switronix site and it is the exact same unit, except for the AF100 dummy end as the unit I had for my 7D. I was wondering how well that would sell, now I don't have to, excellent.

The Swit battery is definitely a good thing too.

Options are good because we can better adapt our setup to our shooting styles and demands.

I've been very happy with mine. Ran both dry a couple of times, no problems. Longevity might be the determining factor, but at that price, and with a two year warranty...
