True! Usually it goes oppositeHow on Earth did the most ridiculous post I've ever made get turned into a serious discussion?
You people are freakin' me out.

It seems to do RAW really well and this is where you can bend the hell out of the images without breaking them.
As they make their way into the wild now hopefully we'll see more independant tests and reviews from professionals.
The other downtime aspect that I find crucial is ability to shoot to double media.. I dont know if that is possible with the Alexa or the BM4.6
And the oranges are a probably a bit under ripe too.
I wonder if the Alexa will one day be upgraded to have fixed pattern noise at moderate ISOs to match the BMD? Only then can you compare the Alexa to BMD.
+1
As been mentioned in other threads the 4K Mini has gotten atrocious reviews on B&H, mostly due to quality control issues. Combined with Blackmagic's history of poor support could/should give any professional pause.
EF is sitting at an astonishingly 2.5 stars, but the PL version has 4 stars.
Without being mean, and not dissing John Brawley or even these image in any way, I'd love to see a side by side from someone who doesn't actually do paid work for Blackmagic Cameras.

Very interested to see the comparison. It'll take me an age to download those BM .zip files, but throwing a couple of .ari grabs into Resolve, it's crazy how easily you can get a lovely grade out of it. I'm pretty used to ProRes out of the Alexa, but the raw files do seem to be a noticeable step up in Resolve.
