This shot is a frame grab from a 24fps stream (1/48th sec.). I really like this pic because it shows off our resolution but also the soft "hand" of film. The bubble popping at this split instant shows the possibilities of shooting a stream and having an image from that stream that you can print. No noise in the blacks (anywhere actually). Our Mysterium® sensor is living up to the hype. It's not often that that happens. :-)

If there is any interest, I guess we could post the 4k version (8-bit jpeg) tomorrow...

Jim,

And is it necessary to ask? :dankk2:

Cheers!

that is some serious latitude. its looking like this thing really might change the world of film/video man...17k...wow

Just when I thought I could turn off the workstation and call it a night... :).

Amazing lack of noise in the typically noisy blue channel (though I see a number of stuck pixels in this channel... micro lens defects??). Even in 8bit you can haul on the levels.

Really holds up to the promise of high end DSLR output (and then some).

I'd love to see the "two girls with cigar" presented in the same size as there is a greater DOF in that shot...

Thanks!

All I can say is DAMN!!! wow looks so good. So much detail. And I see what you are saying about a the flim softness. The image dose not look like video. And then it dosen't look like film there is no grain. This is something new Digital Cinema and I like it.

I did notice some what looked like dead pixals but I am suprized to only see a couple awsome work on the sensor.
I think the new slogan is "Belive the truth"

I also like the fact that I'm on a 23" apple cine display And I can't see the whole image amazing.

and yes I would love to scrub around on a 4K

It's bad enough I don't keep up with the porn industry, but I'm not absorbing some of the knowledge here. I see a great picture, but I'd like to see the lack of noise in the typical blue channel, also the number of dead pixels. How do you do that? I would also like to know if a greater depth of field would signify more/or less noise. I would assume more dead pixels than a shallow, but it's only a guess. I'm fresh out of film school and would like to understand more of what I'm reading.
