25p ?

Its just in the film at different places with various lenses the crop factor shown top left varied often below x1,thanks VM for the info.

OK, I see now (I didnt sit through enough of the video to see the "Crop 1:1" labels that appears in some shots). The 1:1 shots where the ETC teleconversion feature has been activated in the camera - this works by cropping the central part of the sensor, and is a completely different concept from the "crop factor" which is a shorthand way of comparing FOV of lenses on different sensors.

Sorry to be a pain Graham but i need to be sure ,with the 14-140mm lens including crop and the extra 2.6 works out to 728mm,would a 300mm canon fit tamron have 1560 including the teleconvertor or only 660mm which would be pointless keeping the lenses.

In ETC mode, a 300mm lens will indeed function asthe equivalent of a 1560mm lens on a full-frame camera. How good the quality will be will depend on how sharp the lens is (and whether you have a good tripod to support shooting at such an extreme length!)

I just found out ETC is different in 720p and 1080i, check it out: in 720p its even more tele! I do wish Vitaly gets his chance to do a GH23 soon and some cheap batteries appear on the market.

Now i understand that if i use a cheap adaptor like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320464370974#ht_3238wt_1032 on my GH2 to use with my tamron lenses i will be filming wide open, i presume this is as good as a waste of time as the film will always varying between dark correct and overexposed footage.
One of the Tamron lenses in question http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0002VYJPY/ref=oss_product

Also with this lens http://www.jacobsdigital.co.uk/p-49055-jacobs-digital-panasonic-100-300mm-f40-56-micro-43-lens.aspx i take it the extra E-C-T is available as well.

Are tamron ever likely to make similar pana fit lenses GH2 fit http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0002VYJPY/ref=oss_product or pana themselves do a similar one albeit more expensive no doubt

Also it normal my pc is a quad core and i had no problems editing raw 550D files also hdv obviously but the avchd files from my current gh2 are a nightmare to such an extent that i cant see the point of keeping it ,the software continualy crashes , the playback is terrible , when i press play there is always a long delay before play starts if it does , and i have found that if the end and beginning of each clip is not snipped there will be a slight sound loss on playback of a film.
