24 P firmware On Iron Man 2

It will be nice to be useful again and not just a talking out of my arse head. I have some widescreen LCD glasses on the way too which will be interesting. hit and run and gun.
 
Well my D90 is sitting on the shelf waiting for a cure like a dying person waiting for an organ transplant. So I gave my two boys my twin HV20's and even bought an HV40 to hold me over while I wait for Nikon to recover from it's extended crack smoking session. I'm watching all you guys get your 5D's and my teeth are starting to drip. I feel the photo store pulling on my check book like a bad heroin addiction, "buy it! buy it on! There maybe no more left! ... ..."

yeah know the feeling.....camera craving not heroin addiction. What's up with the D90, broken or banished?
 
I've been working on a local cable TV series shooting with my HV's. I had brought my D90 to the gig but the director didn't like having to turn it off all the time. She likes to have the HV on all the time with a monitor connected. She's always checking framing. She likes the D90 image but it was not practical for the gig. So as much as I love my D90 I end up using my HV20/40. Plus the gig is 30p.

I keep thinking that Nikon will fix it with manual etc... But I must admit having a cam like the HV40 that works right out of the box is getting all the attention. It really has a great image for the price.

I just want to have a cam with the features that I want and not have to wait for firmware updates to get the features. There are a lot of dream cams i.e. Red Scarlet but they have not materialized but the 5D is getting close.

I, like Squig, am getting restless to shoot a script I have and get it in the can.

Looks like we are always in the same boat....I have the hvx200 m2encore setup, d90, and as of today 5d mark II.. I think i seriously have an addiction....Please Help ME!

bro thanks for the tips. I'm in waiting mode too. Sure could use the 5d for
some stock shots, but resisting the burning cash in my pocket - lol.

Yeah, I'd like to know HOW to determine a dealer has a firmware upgrade FACTORY
model in stock. Phone call? You'd be lucky to get someone that knows what a 5d is, right? And after you buy, I thought you said - " no we said download it off the canon website". grrrrr.

617? No S*it? And you haven't commited suicide yet? I've got stacks of 645
at home. How many years have we spent being fed the digital KOOLAID?

Can't remember when I last hoped a digital would be medium format. Is the 5d it?

The gh-1 was more koolaid. Don't get me wrong fanums. I think it's the PERFECT
camera for those HELLBENT Pioneers on a ONEWAY MIDNIGHT TRAIN TO THE ICY GATES OF SUNDANCE!

Me? been there, done that, got the frostbite to prove it!

I'm a little confused about why everyone wants a factory firmware-upgraded model? Is there some advantage to that? Took me all of 2 minutes to upgrade my firmware...
 
Anyone heard any more news from this?

Also what shots in Night at the Museum 2 was on the 5d?
