20mm 1.7 or 14mm 2.5 for wedding

I'd like a wide angle lens in addition to the array of nikons and canons I have w/ adapter for my gh2 but i can't decide on the 20mm 1.7 or 14mm 2.5. The wedding is in a chapel but I think the 14m 2.5 would suffice since I also have a nikon 50mm 1.8. What is your guy's opinions?
thanks!

i believe those are m43 lenses so they are 20mm and 14mm without crop?
but i can see your point, if i get the 14mm then i can always use telephoto

I'm tired of converting FOV to other formats, but I guess it is necessary in the beginning when going to m43 from another format. Having said that, here's a good tool. ;)

The 20mm is a great lens. BUT, you have to be careful of windows. You'll get weird, unusable flares-- I believe it's actually called ghosting. Regular lights in the background are usually fine, but get a window behind your subject and you really have to work at it. I don't know about the 14mm-- I've never used it.

oh i see, i thought the fov did not change with teh 20 or 14, darn haha well i guess ill get the 14mm then.

for a wedding you'll need the 20mm for extra stop and it's more tele (you have to keep your distance mind you.

I was at a wedding not too long ago where the shooter was using prime lenses. He was constantly moving about trying to frame shots. It was very distracting! Zooms would have helped in this situation. As far as wide lenses on the M4/3 sensor, my favorite is the Tokina 11-16mm.

1: THe GH1/2 have a crop of 2. So your 14mm is a 28. Also the Nikons will convert as well, so your 50 prime is a 100prime.
2: The 14mm is the wider of your prime lens choices, but the 20mm is a very nice lens and has that extra stop of light, but for some its still hard to fit a lot in the shot.
3: The kit lens is actually pretty nice when you have enough light. 14-42/14-45 f3.5 is a nice range.
4: For run and gun situations, I find the Kit (14-42mm) and the 20mm are my go-to lenses. If I have time to setup, then ill thrown on a Nikon Prime.
