GH3 $200 Discount on Panasonic GH3

I didn't see this mentioned anywhere so I thought I'd share it.

There is currently a $200 discount on the Panasonic GH3 at several retailers. This would be the perfect time to pick up the GH3 if you're currently looking to buy it.

Currently Amazon is the cheapest option at checkout and is still slightly cheaper after the respective retailer rewards are received. Amazon's prices fluctuate quite often so I'd keep tabs on other vendors as well in case Amazon's price goes up.
 
B&H Photo says that they are only offering this sale on the GH3 through July 20th.

It would thus appear that this is a limited time offer.

Best grab the GH3 now, while you can.
 
Tomorrow. And it'll cost $1200. And have XLR inputs, and a 7" screen, and 2000fps, and a transforming mount that can take any lense, and, and, and....

Hopefully not as I have nothing capable of viewing 4k, let alone editing it efficiently.

And even the 220 Mbps 1080p ProRes 422 HD uses too much disk space for me. My PC would bog down on that much data.

Thank God for 50 Mbps H.264 MOV I say ...........
 
I wasn't going to buy the GH3 until September, but these discounts sort of spurred me on. I ordered the GH3 and the Lumix 12-35 for a total of $2188 from B&H just now. When I finally get them, I'm sure I'll be back here with a million questions.

You will be happy. I have 3 GH2s and 1 GH3, and this sale is enticing me to grab yet another. Really love the GH3. It is now difficult to move 'down' to the GH2.

Funds are very tight these days, what with ongoing medical expenses, so I debated for quite a while as to whether a GH2 might not be just as good, bought on ebay for about $700, with the GH3 going for like $500 more, but with the discount, a GH3 is only $300 more, so I pulled the trigger. What pushed me over the line, was improved low-light performance, and crucially to me, lack of the nasty green cast to the GH2 footage; the disadvantage of course, is that the GH2 is hacked, and the GH3 is not and has more moire. But who knows, maybe the GH3 will get hacked too, and overall, I guess it is enough of an improvement, that it's worth the extra $300. Or at least that's what some folks seem to say - including yourself... and soon I'll see for myself :)
