agreed...your best estimation on where to apply said tape will suffice...it's not rocket surgery.

Dark Side of the Camera
I use dark Grey adhesive car window foil on my field monitor - should work on a camera monitor too.
It goes on and of without leaving a trace, you got your boundaries but still can see tru.
I cut 2 sets. 16:9 and 2.35:1 - works like a charm.

I only manufactured a couple of dozen packs of Screen Skins in the 2:35 format...just not enough call for them. Sold the last 2 packs to a shooter about a year ago. Almost all the ones sold by EVS, B&S and Abel Cine were 16x9 and 1:85.
Do be careful regarding the kind of adhesive tape you put on your LCD finder. Frank's idea might be a workable solution.

The foil I use sticks by adhesion - so no glue is involved and they are reusable for ever.
