Apart from this...what are the other heavy duty options out there? Also I dont know if the Redrock is even heavy duty...so any of you guys that have it pls chime in. I need a very sturdy handle solution for my rig. I have a CPM filmtools handle right now..and while the rest of the CPM rig is very sturdy...i no longer have confidence in the handle. I've been thru 3. The hard plastic they use is just not made for this I assume. I have it set up with 2 A frames (one on each side and the handle in between (for any of you who know CPM rigs). This combo is supposed to be the heavy duty kind of setup...but as usual one of the ends has broken away..plastic just crumbles under stress from the screw over time. I have 2 more spares as Steve was so kind to send me replacements no questions asked (CPM has excellent customer service). But its only a matter of time before those go I guess. So while i highly recommend CPM rigs...i cant recommend the handle for heavy use well not for me.

So i need something i trust. I have alot of $ ( to me :) ) in this rig...cant have a handle break on me while shooting (which happened once, luckily i saved it )

Is the redrock handle good? What other options are there?

u can see the handle configuration in pic 2

thanks for the reply Pookie. I'm refering to the top handle though. the hand grips on my rig are great so far. Sorry for not being more specific, i thought the link i had would suffice. I emailed EVS about the redrockmicro top handle and they said its metal and very solid. So i think i'll get it.

Thanks for the heads up on the CPM handle. It looks rugged, but you can't really tell how well their composite material will hold up just from pics.

I think most of the other handles from well-known manufacturers will be metal and which one would hope will hold up better than composite materials:

Easom, well known for their cages, also have a handle ($85): http://shop.easom.com/product_info.php/products_id/36
