14-140 vs 14-42

I need some advice so please bear with me to explain my situation.
I currently own a GH1 with the 14-140 kit.

I want to upgrade to the GH2 so I want to sell my GH1. I was planning to just sell the body and buy a GH2 body but now I see that the only deals available are the 14-140 or 14-42 kits.

So since I never use the 10x zoom of the 14-140, and I think its too big and heavy, and I will get a better deal selling the lens as well, I was wondering, will I miss anything if I sell it with the body and buy the GH2 14-42 kit since the only thing I use from the 14-140 is the wide end?

Is there anything I will miss form the 14-140 if I use the 14-42?
Any differences in auto focus? Or during the video recording?
Any significant differences in sharpness?
Anything at all?
Please help me decide.
Thank you very much!

i agree with stonebat the 14-140 is a great lens and its super useful for me, the 14-42 i've used on a GF1 and the picture is crisp and clean, i laughed at the zoom tho... almost better taking 2 steps forward instead

the 14-140 feels like a pretty good quality lens.
the 14-42 feels like a empty toilet roll tube  yet the image quality is good.

I've read about and seen samples depicting the discontinued 14-45mm variant to be sharper, that may be disputed but not in build quality. the 14-42 is only a plastic mount.
