10" 1024x600 monitor with battery and HDMI input for your upcoming GH2, $130 only

Total price jumped since introduction (for US from about 124 to 146 :-)
Due to item price increase and removal of all cheap shipping options (only expedited shipping now available).

arrived today.. so not bad as shipping , but i did use UPS courier.. i now understand how this 3rd world country is working , specially customs office... if you don't want your items to be held in customs for more than a weeke you must use a courier, and not postal service...
anyway.. monitor is lighter than i thought, just tried it quickly with composite output from gh1 ( don't have a hdmi cable yet) . now it's charging battery so haven't had time to test it properly.

How has your experience been so far with this? How is the quality?

After some talks they reduced price back to $101.
So, total about $130 with DHL or EMS shipping.

I don't yet have any news about special filmmakers version.
But hope that it'll come in next few months.

received monitor, disapointed?

Just got this Leadstar Monitor, not sure about the quality. I connected it to my new HP Envy 17 - HDMI out, set the correct resolution but image looks blurry.
Don't have my GH2 yet, hoping it will look better, any thoughts?

And under correct resolution you mean?
This thing is intended to work on 720p and 1080p/i modes via HDMI.
Plus image won't be such sharp as it is on 1:1 pixel monitor.

Would like to use it to check focus with DSLR but don't have the camera yet to demonstrate. I don't think there are any P or I options on my HP Envy Notebook, I could be wrong.

They must be. Look at your graphic settings for monitor (you need 1280x720 and 1920x1080).

I got it too. I did little test on weekend.

a). This monitor (in VGA mode) support max. resoliution is - 1024x768 Not too bad. Like my Asus Eee ;)
b). It have TV tuner (analog).
c). It have 'Media player' (don't support HD content).

When I'll get my new HDMI cable, I do next test - HDMI mode support.

Nice build quality, not heavy, but size is larger than my Asus Eee ;)

How was the picture quality?

Would this be a good monitor for a beginner to HDSLR videography using the GH1 and GH2's? I'm not a pro, but I want to be able to get that critical focus on an external monitor.

I'm looking to also get a steadicam monitor. I have the 8.9 inch manhattan LCD which I really love but I'm think that it's too big and also too heavy. How is the liliput? I too wanted to get a really bright monitor for outdoor shoots but don't want to pay 3 grand.... cheers.

Do you think a 10" is too big? 9 inch? I haven't yet flown with the monitor...

Yes Brightness.
I'm currently using lilliput 668 (450cd) as steadicam monitor.
If this is 450cd or above for $130... Platinum.
I want to make my AC (and director) happy with this and Asus Wicast (stay far away from me).
Please update in #cd if you can find out actual brightness.

cheers
