So I guess this is happening.
We actually have a scene and a few inserts to pick up Sunday (the 27th), a decent amount of VFX and no idea what our plan for scoring is.
But we'll get it done. Somehow... somehow.

Remember though that not one person sees all of those. At Slamdance though, shorts programmer Paul Sbrizzi did personally see about 4000 of the 6000 shorts they had submitted for '09.

Look your list is fantastic. As Barry said it should be a sticky. The rest of the the items seem to be hard absolutes. This one about not submitting your first short is a matter of philosophy. It's also something that can be considered after you made it. "Hey this is pretty good" "Hey...
Right. But after spending $5000 - $1000 on gear. $50 on a lottery ticket with such a prize is not that much. And that's all you lose. Since, if it sucks. No real programmers will ever see it. And I didn't say only send it to Sundance. :)
Great "rant". Though I would call it "preachin'"
The only one I might take issue with:
Why not? They won't remember you if it sucks. You'll get knocked out of selection in an early round by a "screener" not a "programmer". And you might get lucky. One filmmaker's first film (a short)...

So ... I think on Twitter you use @ to tag people in your tweets.
"At the concert with @Joe Blow"
So Joe Blow will be notified that I mentioned him.
But I've also seen people on Facebook, in a thread, use "@" to seemingly just speak directly to someone.
"@ Joe Blow that's hilarious."
