Is there anyone who has shot 23.98p in a country with 50Hz electricity? A colleague of mine will be traveling to Europe to shoot some content that needs to be 23.98p (24p) and is asking about potential flicker issues shooting under fluoros and other light sources that may run on a 50Hz cycle...
Just put a recent demo reel together, though now after reading comments on another forum member's reel, I may re-edit some sections of this. I have interview footage (talking heads), though I cut the audio. Perhaps, I will bring some of the audio back. Should I do this or is it cohesive...
gave myself a constraint on a rainy day:
shoot with only one lens. so that it was I did.
shot with GH2 + Canon FD 50mm f1.4
edit: original had copy protected music. new version with alternate audio should play for all
Most of this was shot with the GH2, then some with the 7D by my crewmate, then the rest with a GH1 or GoPro HD. Settings for GH2 is -2,0,+2,-1, iRes off, iDR all the way up
Highlight exposure warning on for most shots and kept overexposed areas to a bare minimum despite shadow areas looking...
Just received my GH2. Been a long time GH13 user. Thought I would try a little experiment. Shot some footage (on GH2) in the FSH mode (1080 60i) - NOT the 24H (1080 24p) mode. First with a shutter speed of 1/30th, then with a speed of 1/60th. Dropped both clips into a 1080 30p and 1080 30i...

Been busy, so haven't been on the forum much lately, though have been doing some volunteer work with Sea Shepherd the past couple of months. Here's a couple of the photos from my time so far in Hobart, Tasmania. Come from a background in video, though trying to improve my photo skills...
These are my settings:
Prevent version compare=Checked
Video Bitrate FHD/SH=32000000
Video Bitrate H=16000000
Overall Bitrate=34000000
When I shoot SH and H mode with a shutter speed of 1/60th sec or faster, I get 60 unique frames in both modes. I thought this was only supposed to be the case...
