Hello everyone,

I have been reading posts on this site for the past few months and have found them to be be very helpful. I have been waiting for the GH1 for months - had a pre-order with Panasonic from the middle of June - never was fulfilled, so cancelled the order. Called Cameraland two weeks ago in Manhattan, had had 12 at the beginning of the day, had 2 left when I called - so was able to go pick one up. Anyways, shot some test footage - all handheld so far and posted it here:

some of it is a bit shaky and there is some definite overexposure at times, also a lot of the shots in the woods was shot at ISO 1600. the more properly exposed footage comes in after the biking footage.

edited in Premiere CS 4.1 on a Lenovo 1.5GHz dual core laptop. No intermediate codec needed - just imported then edited (no conforming or anything) and then exported with a 4000 kb/s average bitrate and an 8000 kb/s max bitrate - so you may beed to let it load for awhile before you play it.

edit: What have others been using as their encoding settings when exporting?

Most was shot at 720 60p, some stuff was shot at 1080 24p and either reduced to fit the 720 frame or cropped at 720 pixels.

I look forward to contributing and learning from this diverse forum!
