could anybody tell me if there is a visable difference in motion on 24p dvds compared to regular 29.97 on a progressive tv? if there is a difference is it quite noticable? and are 24p dvds true 24p or are the extra frames just flagged and not played

i had a gig last night shooting stand up comics. i linked my camera up with the clubs sound system and the audio clipped horribly,yet it wasnt toping out on the dvx audio meters although it was coming close. is this normal? i was under the impression that it wouldnt clip until the meters topped...

im gonna be buying a new dual 2.0 G5 , and combustion or ae. could anyone give me the pros and cons of either one, which one has better color correction capabilites? which one works better with fcp ? which one is harder to learn? is combustion slower on a mac? any advice would be greatly appreciated

im interested in bumpin my dvx footage up to 10 bit , i just dont know how , is it as simple as dubing the dv to dvc pro 50 ,digi beta ,etc , then capturing the dub tape? im interested indoing this for color correction and graphic purposes. anybody have any recomendations on how to go about this

im gonna need a dolly in a couple of weeks and was thinkin of using a door way dolly versus something on tracks ,the surface im gonna be on is perfectly smooth so i was thinkin that something with tracks would be overkill not to mention time consuming . was wondering if anybody had any thoughts...

i recently shot a scene in a warehouse in which it was hard to control the sound. the room tone in the footage that i shot is way to loud , was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as far as audio filters in fcp4 goes to try and quiet it down a bit

theres an effect i have seen used a few times, but i cant seem to find it. it looks like there is a strip of film running over your fotage,you can see frames with the perforations , and its usually an orange color anybody know of a plugin for fcp that has it?
