.dv to 10 bit?

im interested in bumpin my dvx footage up to 10 bit , i just dont know how , is it as simple as dubing the dv to dvc pro 50 ,digi beta ,etc , then capturing the dub tape? im interested indoing this for color correction and graphic purposes. anybody have any recomendations on how to go about this

You could do this in combustion. Open your clip in combustion and use the bit depth converter to convert your 8bit dv file to 10-16 bit and use the discreet CC to color correct the clip in the according bit depth.
