My next film “schism” takes place almost entirely in a nursing home/assisted living facility, and there are going to be TV’s everywhere: in the resident’s rooms, the activities center, etc. I need something on these TVs, but obviously I can’t just use regular TV shows for legal reasons, so I...

OK so my short film "HUNTING CAMP" (DVX-made) was selected for its 7th film festival, TromaDance, back in January earning its 2nd "Best of the Fest" nod with Troma now wanting to include it on a Best of TromaDance DVD. A lot of you here know this already, but for those who don't, I had a run of...

OK, this may be premature because I seriously haven't finished even the first special feature on the DVD, but this is REALLY a great disc for us filmmakers to pick up and learn from a modern master. I watched the first 45 minutes of "Acts of Violence" (which looks like its gotta weigh in over...

Hello, I'm doing my 1st music video this summer for band Phantasm! I really dig their stuff and I hope you do too... They helped us out on the "Hunting Camp" soundtrack and we're hanging with them in the studio while they record their first full-length album and will be doing the video for a...

I've noticed a trend that seems to be spreading, and I'm not so sure it's a good thing: more filmmakers going entirely hand-held Obviously I am not talking documentaries, or a narrative that is supposed to feel like one. I mean, even "indie" films starring big names and sporting budgets much...

Directed by Marshall Cook Starring Andy Dick Shot with the DVX This isn't mine but I thought I'd share it with you guys since they used our beloved camera. I first saw AdCorp, Inc. at the Great Lakes Film Festival this year. The director Marshall Cook was there, really cool guy. Anyhow...

I just wanted to thank each of you for your support of my DVX film "Hunting Camp" over the past few months and let you know that after three back-to-back film festivals in the last couple weeks (and getting copies in the hands of everyone from Lloyd Kaufman to John Hancock) we are now down to...

I will update this thread each day of the fest (this week Wednesday through Sunday)... Last night was Opening Night with Gunnar Hansen! The original Leatherface from Texas Chain Saw Massacre! Mr. Hansen was a really cool guy, and he didn't give me too much **** for never seeing the movie...

snippet from MTV.com by way of CHUD.com: QT spills some of the beans on Grindhouse, the faux-double feature he is making with Robert Rodriguez. "His movie is called 'Planet Terror,' and mine is called 'Death Proof,' " Tarantino revealed. "Mine is sort of a slasher film, but instead of a knife...
