Finally got around to going through all our Park City/Salt Lake City, Utah pics from the film festivals last month and posted a gallery online... Inside you'll find DVXUser members, directors, actors, a man in a dress, and snow! I wrote up little blurbs under each pic:

Click here for the full gallery!

The first two parts (of 3) of my mini-reviews on the movies we saw are also posted online!

John I really enjoyed the pictures and reviews thanks for taking us all with you! Did you get to see Moonshine or Iraq in Fragments?

I read your reviews. I knew I was gonna miss out if I didn't see Gondry's film. I love his work. I just saw his latest White Stripes video and I instantly knew he directed it. That guy is on a different level.

I saw "Moonshine" on closing day and met the director (Roger). That review will be in part 3. I invited him to the forum but I don't know if he'll show, someone else shot it for him. In short, the cinematography and lighting were very well done. Since nearly the entire film takes place at night his team of volunteers did a GREAT job technically, the best night stuff I have seen personally with the DVX. The acting however was pretty stiff (most of the time the two leads spoke in a depressing mumbling). But the guy made Sundance so major props to him, and aside from the acting I really couldn't find anything not to like about the film.

Do you know if Roger landed a distribution deal? I kept reading elsewhere that there weren't a lot of movies getting picked up this year.

Gondry kicks ass! I don't know if "Moonshine" got distribution or not. Found this on their forum though (from yesterday):

"We're still working things out on the end of distribution, holding screenings for distribution companies and sending out screeners to Miramax, Lions Gate, and others. The release of the film is, as of yet, undecided. I will post any updates on this front as soon as I have some."
