The happiness part is in the last quarter:

First off, I still have a sample film from a DVX user on my cloud; it is only 640x360, but the quality is superb. The source from the original thread is down. But you can download it from my OneDrive: https://1drv.ms/v/c/5e7f4b389c7a24a6/IQCmJHqcOEt_IIBeozoAAAAAAfjrTugs1zHB2LnbqJyv6qs?e=bOTbc1...

Hi. Long time no write. I recorded a vertical short video in 4096x2160 30p pixels in 2017 in Greece with my then Canon 5D Mark IV. Well, how do I rotate it to be upright to play on my small 8K TV, which I have this PC connected to? I only have the basic version of Resolve, and I wonder how to...

Press conference live, B&H has the info: [https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/video/news/the-new-canon-c300-mark-iii-and-new-25-250mm-zoom-lens] 4K 120p with DPAF in CRL and XF-AV.

I am selling my only lightly used Lexar 512 Gigabyte 800x 120 Megabytes per Second UDMA 7 Compact Flash memory card for $350 shipped worldwide. Like new, comes with original packaging. Has Lexar's lifetime guarantee. Great buy for a C300 Mark I or 1D C. I am a longtime DVX User, registered since...

I use the free Shotcut editing software. I decided to transcode all MJPEG video of my 5D Mark IV (now with Canon Log, where with Shotcut, the LUT gets applied automatically through the software somehow, as on the other hand adding a LUT manually does only change the footage to Log) to ProRes...

What I have heard is that Arri has the best color science, with Canon coming in second. And contrary to this, Sony, RED, Panasonic, Blackmagic and others have "bad" colors. Well, okay, but how can I spot good colors? When I watch footage (on the net), I cannot discern if it is "Sony color" or...

Just bought "Need for Speed" on 3D Blu-ray for five bucks. What are the Canon scenes to look for? Does somebody know what is shot with the C500, which parts with the 1D C? Main camera seems to have been the Alexa.

exists? Their banner would look way better with that technique.

"Der Grosse Sommer", a Swiss film from 2016, was shot on Arri Alexa as a main camera. But for the landscape, train and stadium scenes, they shot on a Canon 1D C. When I first heard that the film has been using Canon cameras, I wrote to director Stefan Jäger, who forwarded my question to the main...

I am thinking of a new prefix like [C700] and also add the C700 to the forum description.

I always recorded clips with the DVX I had in the mode where it stores 24p imagery in an interlaced video file. I now have a clip on youtube, but is still displays as interlaced, which nowadays does not look good anymore. How can I deinterlace the original footage, losslessly restoring the 24p...

Hi. I just saw a post.ch advert on Youtube and they showed a camera man for a split second. I took a screenshot to show you, because I would like to know what camera they are using. Is it a Sony camera? Or only a Sony recorder unit? What other equipment is used? Sorry for the bad quality. Here's...

According to Canon Rumors: http://www.canonrumors.com/canon-cinema-eos-c700-coming-in-2016-cr2/ (The URL says CR2, but the headline is CR3). So looks like no 8K Canon this year. But they say the new camera will have slightly more resolution than 4K. Maybe because it is compatible with...

I have recently deinstalled Quicktime for Windows, as it poses a security risk for the system. So no more ProRes or MotionJPEG MOV editing anymore. Tried to load a MJPEG sample from Andree into Edius 8 Trial, does not work. Too bad, I would have loved to own a 1D C. Why is Apple doing this? Are...

I don't own a 4K camera yet (except the GoPro 3 Black Edition with only 12 frames per second) and have been looking for something suitable for me. As long as there is no C100 4K, the 1D C is my favorite. I finally found some clips for download from it, but they won't play smoothly on my rig (i7...

I'm checking out the AF100 right now, and I read that is has only 800 lines of resulution. So it is about the same as the HVX200. Is this true? So I would get more real resulution from a Canon 5D Mark II? Second question: I own the Canon lenses 24L and 135L. What focal length would those be on...

I know, the 5D is a different monster, but for its much smaller size, the Ixus 1000 HS really delivers great 1080p 24fps footage. The 5D MKII has a full frame sensor, so I can work greatly with DOF, but is it possible to put it to real use? I currently also own a 5D MKI, and once I had to adjust...

Years ago, I found here a good page for royalty free music. I can't find the page anymore. What is the best royalty free music site on the net? It should not be too costly, as the music will be used on my film studen's movies.
