I know, the 5D is a different monster, but for its much smaller size, the Ixus 1000 HS really delivers great 1080p 24fps footage. The 5D MKII has a full frame sensor, so I can work greatly with DOF, but is it possible to put it to real use? I currently also own a 5D MKI, and once I had to adjust focus manually. It then looked sharp on the viewfinder (the MKI doesn't have Live View), but when I downloaded the picture, it was blurred. So, can you correcltly manually set and or shift focus on the MKII? Like from the face in the foreground to the person in the background, like real movie cameras can do? I don't think you can do this with autofocus. If it is not possible, I might also stay with the Ixus...
By the way, I have a 24L Mark II and 135L lens.
Hm, I just saw a test of the AF101 on DVuser.co.uk. The Tester says, all those DSLR's image quality is useless. Is he right?
