We've all done it, many cameras, but it never feels good when electronic contacts are involved. Unless I'm asking a room filled with people who made the Komodo and receive a green light, I personally would keep it off when changing electronic lenses.

I thought maybe you briefly might have been thinking about a different model number (not dissing it), there are so many of them. There is a lot of FX9 footage out there that looks very good, but any camera can look bad, even ARRIs.

The FX9 was a high-end camera, one of Sony's flagships, but definitely agree - and also love the aspect ratio and overall look/feel!

I think color and skin tones would go right above DR as most important. Many films grade the dynamic range out of existence. 10, 11 stops in the master, so much info gone and irrelevant, especially for the majority of screens where the videos will exist. But color is what people notice first...

I would say "maybe" if you had native lenses - but without native lenses, it's a "maybe not". If NR ends up being too much and DR is slacking and RAW doesn't work for you then probably not being picky (because you might end up with more unlikes than likes for it).
