Hi, I have the Sony HDV Z1U. We want to shoot HD and use the footage in both NTSC and PAL edits. What is the best way to do this. HDV is the same in both PAL and NTSC?
example:
Can I shoot in HDV (50i PAL) and downconvert to DV_NTSC format right off the camera?
Any advice?
Thanks
I have had problems in the past with clips be labeled wrong or there were too many letters. Does anyone know what carators FCP does not support and just how many letters a clip can have without FCP having troubles with them. This was also a problem copying from one harddrive to another..
Thanks
Hi, Im confused about what NTSC sequence settings to use. You have 3:2 / 4:3 and two other ones starting with 601. 601 square pix NTSC and 601 NTSC. What would be the safe setting? And what does the 601 and 3:2 mean?
Thanks

Thanks

I want to start fooling around with some motion graphics in FCP. How should I import the files? (bitmap-photoshop-layer or vector-illustrator)?
No clue?
Any help would be greatful!

Hi, I have had some footage sent via DVD. The clips are burnt in a timeline that opens in DVD player and not just individaul quicktime clips burnt as media. There's a Audio_TS and Video_TS folder, how do I get these into to FCP or imovie to begin logging and editing w/??
Thanks
John
Well it seems every tape I log has a timecode break in it. The program detects this and I am unable to batch capture like this. The only thing I can do is batch 2-3 clips at one time to get them importing.
Is there anyway around this? If I am going in and logging w/ the in-out and then trying...
