I didn't see this posted elsewhere so I'm posting it here. I can understand their situation and so far everybody has been pretty civil to them. But I'm sure it will come as a shock to some. http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?p=374929#post374929

Found this today and thought it might be worth reading for those interested. TOKYO (AP) — Goldman Sachs said Wednesday it has ended negotiations to sell its stake in Sanyo, creating trouble for Panasonic's bid to turn Sanyo into a subsidiary and create one of the world's largest electronics...

Today we arrived for an out of town shoot for WCBS of New York. We were told yesterday that we would be shooting in 1080i so I brought the HVX. After we arrived I was told that their editbay for this project needed SD and not HD. "No problem because we have the HVX" I told the producer. We'll...

I met with a group of film makers recently and found many reasons why these talented story tellers don’t ever get their movie done or seen. But there were some talented people and GREAT ideas. I might have found a way to help many of these dreams get delivered. What if we could show up on...

I just got our second HVX and put them side by side. They didn't match as close as I thought they would. Have you guys had perfect success? Firmware is updated on both although one is 1+ years old and the other is 1 month old. (No, not the 200A). All settings are the same....I'm pretty sure...

Just curious if we can get a SpeedEDIT thread here. I have several friends on the NewTek forums who own HVX's as well. SpeedEDIT works wonderfully with our beloved HVX files. I would love to see a reason for SpeedEDIT users to come here and benefit from all the knowledgeable people and...

I heard from "a reliable source", HA, :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) that the EX1 codec allows for 100mbs 4-2-2 capabilities. He was pondering an EX1 purchase and had me looking at it. He says it's likely that Sony will soon unleash this ability in the next gen camera. I was just wondering if any of you...

AVID and Apple had great "corporate speak" why they were not going to NAB, but I think it's a big mistake. AVID's target is big broadcast boys which is what NAB has always been. Apple has dominated the independents and that is what I see so many of in recent years. It doesn't effect me much...

Great Review. Especially since this guy is admittedly a FCP guy and has used Vegas and AVID to compare. Plus he's worked in multiple types of work including filmmaking. Worth your 5 minutes to read. http://forums.digitalmedianet.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=295984

Now that the 20 + family members have mostly departed, I wanted to say Merry Christmas to the gang here. So Merry Christmas and wishing you a very Healthy, Happy and PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!

I had a whole card worth of clips show the red X. I searched the forum and tried the "repair clip" from the camera, but no luck. Fortunately I still have the card saved as well as the data backed up to the laptop. What options are there to save these files? This was an out of town shoot and it...
