When I try to export a screen grab from photoshop as a JPEG, the viewer or whatever I'm viewing/ posting it with (eg "Facebook") messes up the aspect ratio. I shot it in 720p and the grabs always come out distorted narrower and taller. Ideas?
I've been trying to export my CS3 timeline to the P2 card directly using "export to Panasonic P2" command. I can't get it to work. The timeline renders fine and appears to export it, but when I look in the HVX's thumbnail display or try to playback...nothing. Anybody else try this??
I have some questions about large screen projection with HVX-produced materiel:
If you're using a standard LCD projector, is it possible to get the HD quality that's in the original footage??
If so, what are some of ways or file types to use (obviously not a DVD since it's compressed)...
I've been trying to post screengrabs from my latest short film and had difficulty with it: I shot it in 720 and when I try to email the photos or post them anywhere, they always seem to be resized to 4:3 aspect ratio comlete with aspect distortion (images squeezed and stretched). I've tried to...
I'm working on a project now that utilizes a lot of slo motion. I'm editing using Adobe PPCS3. For editing purposes I'm using the simple rate slow down technique so as not to overload the processor with the much higher quality time-warp slow motion effect. Eventually I plan to replace it with...
Just did a big boo boo. I was offloading content from card in camera to computer. The hard drive didn't have adequate space and stopped halfway through the process. When I realized what happened, I made more space on the drive and went back to repeat the process. Oops! There was nothing on...
Probably a basic question for some: I'm trying to create a portfolio of screenshots from my latest short film so I can email them. I'm shooting 720p. The problem is that when I try to open them in the windows viewer, the aspect ratio is distorted. The viewer wants to display them in 1.33, I...
I'm planning a shoot using the HVX which would include quite a bit of overcranking/ slo motion exterior shots during daytime. I would like to use a 35mm lens adapter with this shoot if possible. Am I likely to run into major low light/ noise issues??
1) How do you get from the SD card custom preset looks for the HVX back to the default settings?
2) When I try to use the LCD flipout screen reversed and shut facing outward so an AC can pull focus while the op looks through the viewfinder, the viewfinder shuts off instead of staying on ...
I'm doing a shoot very soon (tomorrow) and I'm pretty sure they want both HD and SD if possible. Isn't there a way to simultaneously record to both the P2 card and to tape on the HVX? I haven't found the method yet. Thanks.
