Ok, it seems like I have become a FCP idiot. WE updated to Universal and sometimes i'm getting thie green background on unrendered footage, but the render options won't let me render the footage? What am i doing wrong?

I'm trying to brighten up some footage that was shot too dark. I've seen some people express that using the brightness/contrast filter is no good. I've also noticed that when i use the color correction, it also introduces a ton of grain. So what is the best way to boost up some exposure in FCP?
