There is no contact at the lower end. However, the upper end does rest on the back of the camera AND the mount is a solid block of metal about 3/4" thick that has grooves in it to lighten it a bit. You can see it all in this picture with the Tilta/Ikan rig, carbon fiber mattebox and Shape handle.
I went with a 4 AB style battery package and a two slot charger to do with the Tilta V mount battery plate for the FS7. $1,286 seemed reasonable for what they are.

These are Switronix XP L90S v mount...
I was thinking about EI mode. Its pretty much straight off the sensor. No noise reduction. No color tweeks. Flat.
Isn't it just a compressed form of internal RAW?
When I first got my FS7 it shot ok out of the box hand held in doors, but outdoors I needed better and fast changing ND filters and a better mattebox.
I went with the Tilts carbon fiber mattebox and rig with my IDX brick batteries inserted in the camera, but it was front heavy and awkward...
There were several unlabeled parts in my FS7. I was finally able to figure out the Wifi protector and the top handle cover.
I haven't been able to figure this one out. Does anyone know what it actually is?
Thanks.
To me the least attractive and most unprofessional parts of the FS7 and lens hood and top handle. The lens hood is easily replaced with a matte box. However, the top handle is another thing.
This ugly plastic looking top handle actually has several useful functions included.
There are...
A moderator needs to notice that there is no FS7 prefix available...
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger, but I've looked at the B&H list of what's in the box, and some things are shown in pictures, or usually available that aren't listed so here goes:
a) Is there a PL mount adapter as with...
I've been playing with my AX100 and can say that i'm immensly pleased with its performance. I decided to give it a dynamic range stress test. This was done in a room with no lights on, and outside it was 90F southern California sun at noon.
This first image is an uncorrected video image...
I have all the components and am putting them together, but this is the dummied up version of how it will look. Beachtek XLR adapter, TV-Logic 5.6 monitor, RedRock follow focus, Zacutto baseplate, etc.
Rokinon is (FINALLY) releasing their 50mm Cine lens and it's rated at T1.5 (F1.3 maybe?):

That's preorder at $549. It may drop in price a little later.
It's not quite in the hands of the general public yet, but has anyone (one of our test guys)...
Price drop to $12,500.00 for these eight fantastic Zeiss lenses, case, dividers, hood. I'm limited to a total of 5 pictures I can post in an ad, but I'm adding a few more.
I think grading in real time has to be a nightmare, and each person has their own asthetic, but considering they talk about the dark political world I would have punched it up a little more like this:

I'm selling my Prolock adapter that allows you to use Nikon lenses on Sony FZ mounts (F3, F5 and F55 I believe) as though the Nikon was a PL mount lens.
In addition it gives you manual ring control of the aperture even its a gelded Nikon G lens. It's probably the best accesory I had for...
