AX100 dynamic range test and comparison

I've been playing with my AX100 and can say that i'm immensly pleased with its performance. I decided to give it a dynamic range stress test. This was done in a room with no lights on, and outside it was 90F southern California sun at noon.

This first image is an uncorrected video image showing details both inside and outside. It must be using some sort of S-log to increase the dynamic range. That leaves the middle tones just a little flat.

The next image is a photograph taken with the camera. The dynamic range is either smaller or the contrast is set higher (I suspect its because of no S-curve), but either way the highlights outside are blown out.

Here is the video image again with a little saturation added to make it pop a little more.

I've heard some people are actually setting the aperture half a stop lower because the camera images are clean enough to boost in post without creating noise.

BTW, so it's not confusing. The curve of the picture frame is not barrel distortion by the lens. The picture frame is actually curved that way.

Also, the last image is the video capture again with added saturation. You can see the extra details outside in the sunlight. You can never recapture the blown out areas in the second image taken as a stills camera.
