I need a replicate of this car in pre-wreck form but I'm not sure exactly what it is. I was told it is a Saturn Aura but I don't think that's correct. It looks similar to a Ford Taurus to me. Any car afficianados out there that can identify this vehicle?
I'm working on a film now and want to film the tv screen a couple of times. Does anyone know whether or not there are copyright issues in doing this? Most of the tv shots are background but in some shots the tv screen is the dominant feature. I was hoping to show either news footage or...
I need to shoot a scene involving a police officer and I've been told that they aren't allowed to wear the uniform on film (?) I wanted a real policeman but they can't wear the uniform off-duty and of course can't be filming while on duty. I'm sure plenty of people have dealt with this issue...
I'm editing a feature length film on my Imac (2 Ghz Intel Core Duo, 1GB SDRAM). I've got about 30 minutes of footage logged so far and it seems to be slowing me down a bit already. I'm looking into the G-Raid 500GB external hard drive (see http://dvcreators.net/g-raid-hard-drives) Was...
Anyone have suggestions on a reliable car mount for my dvx100b? I want to mount the camera on the hood or windshield so that it's looking into the car and drive it like this on the highway (up to 60mph). It would be great to find something under $250 but any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
When I import my footage to Final Cut I always get 2 mono tracks. I'm curious whether or not I can record in stereo, and if so, how? I'm using both the on camera mic (dvx100b) and I have a rode NTG-2. They both give me 2 mono channels.
Has anyone seen the film Few of Us by Sharunas Bartas? I cannot for the life of me find a copy of this film. If anyone by chance has a copy or knows how to obtain one please let me know.
I've read numerous threads talking about shooting in 4:3 with the lcd taped off and then adding black bars in post. I don't understand what the benefit of this is vs just shooting in letterbox mode to begin with? The only benefit I see is being able to adjust the picture up or down slightly...
I'm sure this topic has been discussed here but I can't seem to find it...
What are the recommended settings for editing 24p advanced footage on FCP 5?
Also, I'm shooting the footage letterboxed rather than squeezed so I assume that I want to edit in 4x3 and not anamorphic setting (?)...
What's he best way to switch focus between objects in foreground and background? Is it done manually? or can you literally set a sort of stopping block on the focus ring at the points you need? Or do you just pay attention to the focus numbers in the eyepiece? Is there a way to program...
