Stereo audio?

When I import my footage to Final Cut I always get 2 mono tracks. I'm curious whether or not I can record in stereo, and if so, how? I'm using both the on camera mic (dvx100b) and I have a rode NTG-2. They both give me 2 mono channels.
 
Check your FCP settings. In the capture window, under the "clip settings" tab, near the bottom you'll see two audio level meters, and on the left of those a small box with two circles in it. Click the box and it should stereo the pair...
 
Check out the FCP manual, Volume III, page 45. Basically, you need a truly stereo mic to record in true stereo (or two mics, one Left and the other Right).
