The camera is in great shape and takes great images. From 1080p to 720 24p and 24pn with variable frame rates, you've got a whole lot of options with this bad boy. I bought it to shoot weddings and that just never took off for me. 483 Hours. Also included:
2 64GB E-Series P2 Cards
3 5400mAh...
I've been shooting with my HVX with a single 64GB card for a while now. If I got close to the limit, I'd have to stop for an hour and download the card to a computer. I've got another card now, just came today, and I'm wondering about the logistics.
For instance, can I say, I want shots 1-5 on...
Trying to figure out the best way to pull off a room to room transition. Left to right horizontal. Think Aerosmith/Run DMC (it's pretty common, but that's the one that came to mind.)
Obviously, no soundstage or set. The two rooms are in two different locations. I don't think I'll have a...
I was handed a wedding that was shot on HDV, and every now and then I'm noticing some weird audio interference going on, sort of a higher pitched version of what it sounds like when you're spinning a radio dial. Couldn't seen to isolate it in STP and I imagine I'm just going to have to live with...
I don't know what kind of lights this band had up, but they really wreaked havoc with my images.
HVX200A, DV - 720 x 480 to P2
There were these green and blue lights focused on the band. Anything that fell within the beams of these lights wound up with these vertical lines. I don't even know...
So I thought I screwed up big time.
I shot a wedding to P2 at 480i/24p. (Only one card, so I wouldn't have had space to shoot 720.)
I brought the footage into FCP on a 29.97 timeline (because, hey, that's what you gotta do when you shoot 480i, right?) Anyway, it was crazy messed up. Flickering...

So I've got a new iMac. You know, the one's with one friggin' firewire port? I got a G drive to go with it, and while I was able to Log and Transfer using a four pin to nine pin cable piggy backing my HVX to the G Drive (from P2), I've got some tape that I need to capture, and it just isn't...
Someone wants a camera that will output 1080 (59.94i) via HDSDI output BNC with embedded audio. My best guess is that we're hooking up to a production truck and this is going to be used for post-game interviews.
Anyway, I've got the HVX200A. I just shoot and edit in FPC, so I've never done a...
There seems to be a problem with the UB display on my HVX200A. I have to shoot to tape tonight, and all I'm getting at the top of the display when I hit play is UB 9, and then a digit that's going crazy, "OF 30" 8 and then another digit that's going crazy. I first noticed this when I started...
I'm a little confused as to how my HVX200A shoots to P2.
I guess my main concern is whether the DVCPro HD 960x720 project I'm about to create in AE is going to play well with 720p/24n footage that I shoot with the camera in an FCP timeline?
I've formatted my 500GB WD External drive using Disc Utility a couple of different ways. The thing is clean and I've done it with 1 partition and empty space. No matter what, whenever I plug that thing into the HVX and use 1394 Host to try and format it and dump footage, I always get the "Too...
So I can set the camera to 24p and shoot at 12 or 10, but I know I can't change back to 24 in the middle of a clip. So how do I get a smooth transition from fast to normal?
