Fast Motion to Real Time

So I can set the camera to 24p and shoot at 12 or 10, but I know I can't change back to 24 in the middle of a clip. So how do I get a smooth transition from fast to normal?

When I've done that sort of thing I would time remap in post to gradually slow the 12fps back down to 24. I use FCP.

You can also just shoot in 24 and step down in even multiples..........12, 6, 3, etc.....
