I've formatted my 500GB WD External drive using Disc Utility a couple of different ways. The thing is clean and I've done it with 1 partition and empty space. No matter what, whenever I plug that thing into the HVX and use 1394 Host to try and format it and dump footage, I always get the "Too Many Targets" error.
Now, I've plugged the camera into the drive, and the drive into a MBP, and I was able to copy the files, then plug the drive into an iMac and Log and Transfer in FCP, so the drive is working, and I know I can take the MBP with me to dump files that way, but I just can't figure out why it's not doing what it's supposed to do.
