Hi guys!
(I always start my posts like that:tongue:)

Anyway..
Finally I can show you guys some grabs of our newest project.
We don't have a set title yet, but "Identity" will do for now.. It's a short about "finding your identity".. "Who are you?" etc..

I can write a small synopsis.

About a guy and a girl.
They are both confused/depressed/sad.
They are looking for their identity in different places.
The guy is literally looking for a type of light that is supposed to give him peace. The girl is looking for herself in magazines, café's, boys, music, partying, yeah you name it.

So.. We are a group of four guys who have been planning this film since november (2008).

The first day of shooting was this saturday (14.03.2009).
We finished all the scenes with the boy. We might do some pickups and some reshoots if we see the need for more.
The girl has not yet been casted, but we're working hard to find the perfect one. We were so pleased with the boy/man casting that we really need to be just as picky when we cast the girl.

"The value of identity, of course is that so often with it.. comes purpose."

Hi!

Some very nice looking grabs here. By the sound of your description these grabs fit well. I like the colours. Nice work! Looking forward to being able to see more of this project.

Hi tommetass!! :D big fan of ur stuff here....makin that sgpro really work for u.

tight! makes me all the more excited for when my M2 arrives this week! My 100A has been waiting for it haha. I second the notion that he looks badass on camera haha

Beauitful grabs! Scene settings and post workflow?

Thank you man :)

Scene file: F6

Detail level: -4
Master Ped: -8

Fps: 25p
Shutter: 1/120 (most of it... I normally use 1/50, but the LCD was acting funny when I used 1/50 so I switched to 1/120 in an attempt to fix it.. turns out I didn't really need to, but nevermind that :P )

Colorcorrected with Magic Bullet, not that much actually.. Just upped the contrast a bit and added some "blue-greenish" touch to it. (Oh and I also de-saturated it about 15%)

Thanks again!

looking good. no problem about this shoot not working out with me making it out there. we'll work together eventually...

Looks pretty great, Tomas! Some of the images exhibit obvious small sensor blow outs, but it's not distracting as it's a part of the film's identity from the grabs I've seen. It seems like a very interesting take on identity crisis and people trying to find a sense of "togetherness" in a world that practically prevents it. I'm glad to see more people shooting on the trusty dvx-100a still. I don't think I'll ever get rid of mine, haha.
