just got manhatten 8.9" LCD

David, I think it's phenominal for it's price. Better than the Marshall that I've used on a few shoots. Seems like a great build quality and I'm doing more tests. Tomorrow I've got a greenscreen shoot so i'll put it to its tests.. but so far so darn good.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything comperable in price. As I stated before I was so underwhelmed by the Marshall that I never even considered that one. The Ikan is a POS in terms of build quality and the Panny and others are just about as expensive as buying another 150....

I'll post more tomorrow...

Justyn, are you mounting the monitor on a tripod or what arrangement have you worked out? Just wondering as I picked one up today and looking for options. Looks as if the price is going to go up pretty soon again, just a heads up to those looking to buy. Thanks for the input.

Seems like a good price for what it does. Want to get blue only? Send bars, use component cables and pull red and green out.

These monitors are selling much faster than we anticipated as of 1/15/08 12:00 pm we have 2 HD089A monitors left and 1 new Tekkeon MP3450 battery pack. we also have 1 refurbished HD109A monitor in stock and 1 used return Tekkeon MP3450 battaery pack. we will be recieving a fresh shipment of parts between the 26th and the 30th so if you need one for a upcoming shoot i suggest you get your orders in asap.

WOW Guys that was quick now i am sold out of 8.9 inch monitors but i still have 1 10.9 inch monitor in stock

It is a power plug that fits some of the bigger batteries, like Anton Bauer. You use it for lights and such, but all it does is leach the power from your on camera battery or a battery belt. This way, you don't need to stand next to the wall with a power outlet.

Excellent monitor!

Excellent monitor!

I'm one of the guys who bought one of the few remaining recently. Very, very happy with the purchase. You can't go wrong with this monitor for the price. Most importantly, my focusing problems are now a thing of the past. I use a Canon HV30 with a Letus Mini lens adapter, and I can actually make that kit work to some extent now.

I agree... what's up with the price jump? The list brought a run on these monitors and they go and jack the price up. Don't tell me it's because of scarcity as the stock went down. I bought one and I am pleased with it, but jacking my wallet for a few extra dollars?

Not exactly a way to engender customer loyalty.
