Project Psych-Light Directed by Troy Ruff

wow alot of comments all ready, thanks guys Im really happy you guys like it. The story is a bit out there, but it was a lot of fun. I am just starting to watch the films so Ill be commenting on your guys films soon. Thanks again for the feed back I really appreciate it. :)

You had some really cool shots in there. Even though it was handheld alot of the time you managed to have some nice compositions. I second the notion that you should do a horror feature. This was cool.

Thanks, we have thought it would be cool to make this into a feature. But we have lots of ideas for features. So which one do we choose? :) And where to get the money.

Again I say... WOW! Excellent film that kept me on the edge of my seat. loved the camera movements, grading & score. Everything worked together nicely. The VFX rocked. If there's anything I can pick at... I thought the lighting in a few scenes (around the ball) seemed a bit flat.

Really great job folks...you should all be proud of this one! This one is up there on my list.

Good job Troy. I enjoyed it. The scary guy reflected in the shell cartridge was really neat. I also liked your shot where you fell down outside. That was a great shot. Love ya man!

Nice work, Troy. The beginning started a bit rough, but once it got started it was off and running. I don't normally watch films of this nature, but I actually enjoyed this. Nice effects work.

Thanks guys I love to hear feed back, Im hoping to have a viewing sometime soon, It would be fun for all of us to get together and watch these together. The comments about my effects... Thanks I worked really hard on them, and this is really the first time I have ever done any effects and 3d fx. It was hard but I learned alot. Thanks again :)

Troy, effects wise and edit wise. This was really good. A lot of work that came out well. And I didnt miss the reflection in the shell casing, that was a very nice touch.

Story wise, its not that I didnt like it, I just didnt connect for some reason.

It's probably because he had to cut a whole day. . . I mean night:zombie_smiley: of shooting in order to make time and balance the feel of the story.

Troy, We can have a viewing at my house! I'll get out the projector and we can do it in my back yard! (if it doesn't rain!)

Thank you :) Yeah I agree about the story, its probably hard to connect because I had to cut all the beginning character building dialogue out due to time restraints. :( Thank you for your opinion, I really like constructive criticism. I learn more that way. Thanks again

YES it sounds like a plan! On the sunniest day we can find we will have a viewing. :)

Hey Troy, so are you going to go back and do a longer cut as well? Or just keep it at 6 min?

I think just keep the 6 min version, I would have to have it scored again if I changed it. And it actually flows better as a 6min than the 10min. The beginning before was dragging out to long. The bad thing about it thou is that you miss out on some of the story line and subplots. :) Also Ill let you know when the viewing is, if you want to come.

More Halloween then Twilight...But over all some cool SPFX shots, (are there any Andrew Kramer tutorials you didn't use in this one?) and interesting concept.

ahaha he is amazing. I learned alot from him. Still trying to perfect my compositing. Hope you liked the film. It was a lot of fun. :)

I agree it didn't really fit the theme. Overall it was good, kept my attention. I thought the acting was alright as well.

How did you get Old Greg?
HAhahaha

Keep on keeping on.
