"Dead Week" - A film by Kyle Stebbins (and company)

What up, Kyle?

As of 5 minutes ago I have FINALLY FINISHED all of my homework for this past week. It's unbelievable how much stress school has caused me over the past 5 days.
I swear... teachers think it's important to cram all sorts of unnecessary assignments and tests into the days preceding a long weekend. Ridiculous.

Anyway, the next four days have been roped off for the editing, sound mixing, and scoring of DEAD WEEK.

You will be seeing a lot of me.

Nate will be working hard up in Norfolk, NE and I will be constantly feeding him instructions and footage over the web so we can get this puppy out of the oven and onto the table!!

I'm so glad all my tests and projects for school are finished... now it's time to MAKE A MOVIE.

Ya dig??

Nice. I dig.

That's why I quit school... I don't want to do all that useless ****.

Seriously though, where are you graduating?

There's this annoying aspect regarding each film I work on for DVXuser fests... they force me into Imagineer System's Monet or Mokey. It's such a powerful line of software, but boy do I hate the UI with a passion. It reminds me of how I became a skilled roto artist out of necessity rather than my own ambition

Kyle and Mark, that was directed at you you sons of ****es! You guys rawk :)

Hey, nothing wrong with In-n-Out burgers... Just let me know your schedule so I can get some free food. :Drogar-Evil(DBG):

Monday-Friday, 12pm-5pm - I'll get you all the free food you want! :)

--

Hey Nate: YOU rock, man. I love the work you are doing so far. After the DVXfest we are going to enter this into one of UNL's film fests. I'm really excited to show off what we're coming up with here.

Your work is phenomenal. -- That being said, the new storefront shot is uploaded. It's at the same link I gave you on facebook.

--

We finished the last and final shot today. All things considered, this was the easiest shot we had and it went smoother than we could have asked. After which we played a couple solid games of basketball. My teams went 1-1.

Bring on the edit.

Sounds like it was a ball! Ha. Get it. Not. You. Suck. Loser.

Seems like he is tracking the footage and rotoscoping the right guy, so he can remove the car in the background (guessing from the filename :D).

Yup, I can attach my shapes to the trackers so I don't have to do as much hand keyframing. I'm also changing a few other things besides just taking out the car, which means replacing the whole background, which is why I'm stuck rotoing these guys in full. The before & after should be neat though... keep an eye on that row of signs when you see the movie ;)
