The CC'd stuff looks good. No idea how the three different looks are going to play out, but looking good.

I really like the CC'd grabs. Has an interesting old world look to it. Like something out of the post-colonial era in South America. No clue if this is what you were going for. But it looks good.

SPOILERS:
This was a nice sentimental film, Bernie. I liked the story. I think the opening scene with the couple was pretty good. The film lines though made it seem as if it wasn't for real though. I think I know the look you were going for though - maybe like we were watching a 8 mm reel, but maybe you could have skipped a frame here and there to make it jumpy to really get that feel. Anyway, glad you're in the fest. and good luck.

Hi Marlon thanks for that glad you liked it, yep you're absolutely correct, i was trying to get that 1940's and 60's look but I think it's a bit too much for that old film filter...

I love the irony! Great way to finish. The film lines not so much. Subtitles were cool.

Great to see something out of the Philippines. Nice place!

Lots to like here. Opening scene was nicely done. For me the lines added to the theme of the film, like it might have been in the old box along with the other memories.

I feel there should be some kind of hint that he had been killed. I had to piece that together by process of elimination. Nothing too contrived, but something.

I like the simplicity of the woman and her life, and then she whips out this gamma zapper gizmo. Nice juxtopostion. What's missing is her motivation for zapping the photo of the rosary in the first place, unless I missed something.

Tennis ball was a little 'after-thoughtish' and could have been better utilized, like something that was in the photo and is the first thing to get materialized, so you can better tie it to the history already in motion.

Lot of washout in the exterior shot.

At the end, the guy is walking along a little too happy-go-lucky to have a bullet in him. I'd have liked to see him limping to her.

Anyways, the story is certainly in theme, and enjoyed it. Not a fan of people talking to themselves - though I do use it as well. Somehow this felt like a better solution could have been found, or even no dialogue at all. The photos will tell enough.

Enjoyed it.

Hi Alex, thanks a lot for this great review...I really appreciate it and yes we were supposed to finish the film without any dialogue at all but it didn't happen... I'm glad you enjoyed the film. Cheers!

Thanks for taking me on a ride in your Bizzaro World! Good job on the film Bernie. I liked the idea of the story, but didn't really understand where the zapper thingy came from? ..amd if everytime she 'zapped' something out of a picture and it appeared in the dresser in the other room...why didn't the guy appear there too? The story seemed to jump around and you lost me here & there. I did like the old film look though...gave me that 'Grindhouse' feel.

None of this kept me from enjoying the film...really good job and I'm looking forward to your third film!

Hey Zaza thanks for your great review! Appreciate it. The girl was basically thinking of the other room because she's planning to clean it, so everytime she zaps something either the ball or the rosary, those items appear in the next room, as to the soldier, she said that she wants to see him by the sea/beach but she said it right after the guy/soldier disappeared from the picture.

Nice job Bernie. Glad you made it into this fest. I really liked the old filter look, especially the one from the 60's. I think it worked for the piece.

It's kind of hard to keep a scene going for too long with only one person and not have some outer-inner dialogue...I've been there. You handled it fairly well but you want to try and be careful about expostion.

I think that there was a huge improvement in some of the technical areas from your last DVXUser Fest entry. Everything seemed to come together a lot better and I enjoyed the film. Kudos!
