"TWISTED" - A ZazaCast Film

Dude, how's it coming along? Progress?

I'm tweaking the script some more and scouting locations (I think I have a good idea and will get pictures if it pans out). Next on the list is finding my actors! I'm trying to get a friend of mine to be in it. He's big into theatre here in the capital region and this is the time for all the outdoor productions 'In The Park'. I might just have to bribe him.

I've been playing with my crane, test shooting with the M2 and a nikon 50mm...and reading "shot by shot" by Steven Katz. I learned a lot from TimeFest and really want to try for a much better product this time around!

Thanks for asking...:)

Hey Joe. Thougt I'd better stop in and say Hi.
Will watch for sure.
Hey, I use to have a PenPal GF in albany. You know a girl named Pam? hehe.
Weird. Maybe you actually do. Cue twilightzone music...

Well it's been a few years. I'm not sure how long it takes to perfect a potato salad but I suppose it could be her.

Is that upper state? I think I may have the wrong city.

Ohhhhhhhhhh, it's Alden NY. I remember the street, just took me 1/2 hr to remember the name of the city.
It's been around 30 years.

My bad.

LMAO!!! :D:D:D:thumbsup:

QUICK UPDATE:
1.) Still trying to get the location nailed down (the owner of the place I want to use is on vacation...imagine the nerve!).

2.) Looks like I have some crew committed to the project.

3.) I'm thinking we'll shoot mid-September.

Thanks for following my thread....more to come!

Thanks...again, I agree. Always go with your gut! I deleted the 2nd one.
I hate when I second-guess myself.:nads:

Nah, don't hate yourself, it's good to go too far, you can always pull back if necessary--unless you walked off a cliff. You did the right thing by not settling for something that was great in hopes of greater great. I respect that. I also think it's in the Bill of Rights.

@ somebody, I forget who
Who made the meatloaf? You can't have potato salad without the meatloaf.

Dude, I totally feel like I missed out on something cool. You have to put the second poster up just so we know what everyone is talking about :)

Damn... I have to put it back up again? Oh... alright...but be warned, it's not good. I'll put it back in the post it came out of.

Dude...you owe me now! :beer::beer::beer:

Shooting Peccadilloes later today....so it's now time to start updating this thread.

Reviewing the script for the 7th time and still feel it needs a few 'touch-ups'. I've contacted a few actor friends that I think would be great in this one. One is on board so far, but the other might not be in town.

I'd like this one to be the first film I shoot with the M2. I think I'm getting the hang of it now, plus I just picked up a 24mm and 85mm lens to add to the 50mm and 22mm I already had (sometimes it pays to hold on to that old camera gear).

I have 2 locations in mind and will post pictures as soon as I lock one down.

That's it for now... thanks for following along.

UPDATES....

Location found and secured! I don't know why this was so tough, but we're there now. This place is out in the middle of nowhere and should work fine. The plan is to figure out how to deal with such an open LOUD (echo) place. The building is long enough to fit all the gear I'll need to shoot this one right (I hope)...and if it rains, no problem.

I have to finish casting and get a schedule together as this one has to happen on a weekend.

I put a link to some photos in the second post.

Time to get to get this second film going.....
Thanks again for visiting!

Just hang those furniture pads you bought and it'll deaden that room nicely.

I was just wondering about this project today. You're really gonna do it huh?

Can I see el scripto? Need some Dp'ing on this one?

Sounds like you're really going hog wild getting new gear. I love it when it's like christmas at the door everyday. My fedex guy even looks like santa a little....but without the beard.... and it's a woman, but other than that, a spitting image.

Yeah... the blankets (might just get a few more too) will get some use! I'm trying to get this second one underway, best I can. I'll email you the script this week...plus we have to talk about YOUR film!

Gear is good... I got a bunch of new toys.

Hey Zaza, did you finish your casting yet?

WELL.... I'm having a few problems here. The guy who was 'really into it' isn't returning my calls. He was perfect for one of the leads...damn! So tomorrow, I think I'll be listing on the local Craigslist.

I'm running out of time here. I have the location and actually found 2 crew members to help out. Still have a few props that have to be made, but that's no biggie.

...so after all that...the simple answer is...no! (I really need to cut back on the coffee these days)

Tom... you wouldn't happen to have to be out here (NY) for work or anything...say Sept. 27-28....or Oct. 11-12...would ya'?

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that.

I really wish I could be out there, but I can't. Hell, I'd even be willing to split the airfare with ya, but I've got stuff going on both weekends...
