The end of 35mm adapers and hv20s....

I'm sorry, it's too late we were al counting on you and now you've let us down. Please delete all your previous post. ;-)
What do you guys say now we all go for nice friendly game of russian roulete?

Let's do it, I will take the first 6 goes.

Nikon may have a few more suprises in store at Photokina this month.

In July Nikon publicly stated that they would have 3 new DSLRs coming out before xmas - so we have the D90, that leaves 2 to go.

Rumors (Damn Rumors) are a new "Mirrorless" ultra quick, silent 24MP sony sensor D4 (D3x) possibly with a movie mode as well.

O RLY? Hmmm

before christmas? i wonder if this would be the same as the big march announcement, or if that will be something else.

i'm guessing the Dx and Dx00, both with movie mode. 1080p. Better compression ratios.

*fingers crossed*

In Canada, the first batch is supposed to hit the stores for the 16th.
although i'll be mighty pissed if it's the body+ kit lens package that only ships.

You can preorder the body at vistek in Toronto, Estimated Release Date: 9/19/08, but again that only an estimated date...

The down side of preordering trough CC,is that they only have the VR kit available.

Suddenly VR became so ....bad...bad

On the other side ...you`ll get your camera on the 7th?....probably 10th

4days and counting.(depends on the time zone) :))

I've tried finding a drool face on the smilies but there wasn't one...if these predictions come true then maybe it's time for a drool face smilie.

how does that work for you?

yeah, most if not all VR lens can be turned off. there's a little switch on it. just like manual and auto focus modes have a switch on the camera.

Okay, so I've concluded that VR is optical image stabilization, but what the heck do the "V" and the "R" stand for? Is this just a Nikon naming thing?
