"Dead Week" - A film by Kyle Stebbins (and company)

You too dude! I can tell if I lived out there we'd be tearing up Hollywood in no time. Hey remember when we were picking up shells and you said "my kid will love these"... and I picked up a handful of them also? Well I ran out of shorts and planned to wear pants on my flight home... and that morning I saw those green shorts and thought "hell, they look clean enough"... so I put 'em on... and it wasn't until I was going through airport security... RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DUDE... where you put your change and crap in the dish?... well... I figure I'm just gonna' toss out this handful of change... and I stick my hand in my pocket... and... uh  "Oh sh*t..."

Yep... TSA wasn't too impressed as I dumped out a big handful of shells... damn... I got escorted out of the airport... a guy on each side and one behind me... fortunately I had enough time to start over and catch my flight anyway... but yeah... they didn't think those were nearly as cool as we did.

Matt, this story had me bursting in tears, laughing. I'm just imagining what went through your head when you felt the shells in your pocket. HAHA!!!

"Look. I'm about to pull something out of my pocket that will probably alarm you. I didn't realize these were in my shorts, so... if you can avoid making a scene, and just escort me out of the airport with dignity... that would be great. Thanks."

Progress is looking nice! Sweet poster!

I can't wait for this one! Are you guys gonna make it in the grindhouse vein?

We have certainly been influenced by Grindhouse, and I think it has always been my intention to treat this film as an exploitation, but I also want to be as original as possible.

You can bank on us making something exciting, and action-packed... and hopefully a little humorous. =)

"The film is presented as a poorly-shot, hurriedly-edited, amateurly-directed cheapie 1950-ish B-movie, and it seems to be to be just about perfect in every way. The “film stock” is as mangled as the horrific zombies that populate it, w/holes and burns and spots and even a missing reel!"

I read that in a review for Planet Terror.

I like the way that sounds.

Haha heck yea dude! I'm actually working on a low budget script for a semi-grindhouse/ semi-80's teen movie. And I'm going to shoot in an older school with Red Scarlet when it arrives :) Not to mention a solid marketing plan ;)

This is gonna rock!

Nice, another late shooter. I swear next fest I'll shoot two months before deadline. I'm getting nervous 3 weeks won't be enough to edit and do ADR.

Tell me about it. I've got a handful of effects shots, too. I know Nate will be busy with FM stuff during that time as well. Oh well, I guess it's best to just cross your fingers and keep trucking along.

Oh damn, now I have to cancel going to Skull Island. Sheeesh... and all the money we spent on bug spray.

Did you read the articles about how two people were hospitalized on the Tropic Thunder set because of caterpillar bites?? Apparently they were just like getting shot by a gun.

Stebbins, let's get working on some basic choreography soon. We can put together a few safe/ basic moves that we can modify and add to on set, yeah?

Also, I want to enlist you to make a cool Mr. O poster. Do you have the time/ interest?

Amazing content Mark. i really should have looked at that before I wrote Salvation... The world would have had an entirely different ending!

This thread is too quiet.

I'd appreciate if you'd ask permission first before posting images of my girlfriend, Mark...

Um, Geoff. ... It was her idea. Last night we took some pictures and she suggested that I post the one with Kyle's poster as her way of telling you that she won't be pushed around anymore. She said, "Geoff won't like it, but he needs to learn that I occasionally need my space. ... it isn't any of his business that I choose to spend it with an older man with a very large vocabulary."

She's a sweetie.

Crazy what ends up on your phone when you stay with the FM crew a few days...
