Right on time. I'm purchasing the AG-HVX200 within the next 30 days.

I'm going to feel guilty, but I'm not gonna regret it. :thumbup:

EDIT: How long do you think it would take for Panasonic to ship the card? Does their rebate department respond in a timely fashion? If I were to submit my rebate by November 13, do you think Panasonic would have gotten me the 8GB P2 card by approximately December 13?

I'm looking forward to taking up this offer.

No kidding. While I do LOVE Barry's book, I still haven't sent in for my free one, sooooo, how about I get another P2 card for free instead? Whatcha' think, Jan?

..depends on how much money one can potentially make with it in their hands from early on. ...although its always nice to both have your cake, and eat it too. i wouldnt mind a free 8GB card in the least. :)
 
Does anyone know if this deal is available in Canada too? or is it strictly for USA only?
and...Does the deal still work if you have bought the HVX after Oct. 1 or is it Nov. 1?

I knew there was going to be a price to pay for buying early but I didn't expect it to be this much and so soon. I think somethings up. I have the feeling Panasonic is a little nervous about losing market share to the new jvc and sony cameras and are about to drop prices on the p2 cards and release the 16 gig cards. I think it's possible they told us the 16 gigs wouldn't be available till later than they actually will be because they don't want potential buyers to hold off buying the cards that are available now. MInd you this is only a very uneducated guess.
 
That's crazy. Two months ago I had money in hand, dead set on getting the HVX after selling my DVX, but for some reason I never pulled the trigger. I finally started checking prices again today and came across this lovely bit of news.

I think its because of the Xmas season and the new Canon, Sony and JVC.

Very2 tempting, hmmmm.... The Canon XH A1 or HVX200 ?
