THIRST- A Matt Sconce Film

Did you find solutions to find costumes?

Often the theater rent their costumes - I don't know if somebody said this already before! (I think I read only that somebody said the colleges rent costumes). In Germany you can also find rent places for costumes! Perhaps this possibility exist also in Fresno.

Much luck and good to hear that you found another role!

We have no budget so the costumes are coming along pretty slowly. I have not heard back from the college and I have some other possibilities, but I will probably end up making them. Thanks for stopping by!

wow matt from what i've seen it looks to be shaping up really well! Good luck with those costumes! maybe ask around a ren faire or people who might partake in them?

I think your purple 'device' you gave me will work for the machine I am finishing for your greenscreen shot. It will be perfect.

Nope. I need the large shiny steel piece that was used in shooting my favorite genius, Mark Aro's film Netherborn. (Man, I still can't wait to see that film!) That will finish dual directional use of 'the machine' for the THIRST greenscreen shots.

Well, I am still pressing forward, but with the move and everything lately (Just moved closer to work), I have just lost a lot of my motivation for almost everything. I don't really know what's going on, but I am hoping it is a temporary thing. I still plan to make THIRST, but I have lost that excitement about the process and I don't know why.:(

Sconce, your project totally rocks. I feel very honored that you shared inside info with me and I was really taken by the story. We all get the doldrums, my friend, but you have many here who appreciate you, so keep banging away. It's a crazy business, but there ain't anything else that can compare to creating worlds from whole cloth.

All the best,

Mark

I feel you Matt.

I've started losing interest in my project, I want to shoot it. But There is a lot in the way. It's hard to do. Especially taking on projects of this calibre. Sometimes you hit the ground running too fast and you just die out. But stay strong, stay in there. I am glad I know I am not the only one who is losing excitement on a project. Keep moving ahead. I really want to see what you turn out.

Matt matt he our man if he can't do it no one can! There I said a cheer for you. :) Keep up the thirst, we are all here to help you.

You have already started with this project. It would be a pitty to not finish it. It seems to me a very nice one. Please don't stop! :crybaby:

You still have plenty of time if you don't do any compositing. :)
I'm hoping we can squeeze something in but we are busy up to the 2nd weekend in Oct.

You can do it, Matt! If you need an extra box for rendering or another compositor, lemme know. Me and my octo-mac would be happy to assist!

Well, my Mad Scientist Father has been engineering a Giant Crane that will have the capability to move on the X and Y axis for future endeavors. We will use it on Thirst and hopefully some other Fresnan projects. Here is a picture of it. i think he made it for about 120.00

My motivation is staying up for many reasons, but I can still relate to this feeling... I'm dragged down mostly, at this point, by story and script.

Keep pushing, man. I'm reminded of a scene during Run Fatboy Run (with Simon Pegg) where he hits a brick wall ("the wall") just as he is about to finish a marathon. It's a rather clever bit to a somewhat stupid film, but I think it illustrates our dilemmas rather well.

Push through that wall!!!

Kyle tak a look at the DIY section, Matt's father has put up very detailed step by step build instructions. and yes it/s $^%#&%* awesome.

Well,
I have offcially run out of steam, and cannot take any more steam away from what little I have to devote to THIRST. I am pulling out of the fest and possibly the project. Perhaps I will pick it up again in a couple of months. I guess it depends on how life is going. I appreciate the support all of you gave given and I am sorry for the excitement and un-met expectations. I wish you all the best and will hopefully be around the forums a little bit. Sincerely, Matt Sconce
